The true measure of
A person, is what is
In his heart.
Each dawn is
A new beginning.
To Be A Child Is
To know the joy of living
To Have A child Is
To Know the
Beauty Of Life.
God Spoke!
And From The Arid Scene
Sprang Rich And Verdant
Bowers,
Till All The Earth Was
Soft And Green -
He Smiled -
And There Were Flowers.

Life Is Simpler
When You
Plow Around The
Stumps.
Why Do We Need Millions
Of Laws To Enforce
The Ten Commandments?

If you can't be thankful
For what you receive,
Be thankful for what
You escape!
Our Father up in Heaven
Is very much aware
Of our failures
And shortcomings
And the burdens
That we bear.
~Helen Steiner Rice
The only thing I must do ...
I have to do ...
is let God be God.
He is in charge, I am not.
He knows the path, I do not.
He will lead me ...
not my have-tos.
If I could just allow this
one truth to wash
over me like a warm waterfall,
I would know 'peace.'
I would allow anxiety not
to have a home in my heart,
because it would be so full
of God's love and care.
There is no need
to PROVE myself to God.
He knows exactly
who I am and what
I am capable of.
He expects only love and praise.
The REAL GOAL has already
been achieved ...
He lives in my heart.
May your path be strewn flowers,
Memories, friends and happy hours,
May blessings come from Heaven above,
And fill your life with Peace and Love.
Just becasue
You can't see God
Doesn't mean
He isn't there!!
2 Corin 5:7
Hold your loved ones close
And tell them that you love
them,
For if tomorrow never
comes,
You will have no regrets about today!
The really frightening thing about middle age
is the knowledge that you'll grow out of it.
Doris Day
Take The Time
Too often we don't realize what we have until it is gone;
Too often we wait too late to say "I'm sorry - I was wrong."
Sometimes it seems we hurt the ones we hold dearest to our hearts;
And we allow foolish things to tear our lives apart.
Far too many times we let unimportant things into our minds;
And then it's usually too late to see what made us blind.
So be sure that you let people know how much they mean to you;
Take that time to say the words before your time is through.
Be sure that you appreciate everything you've got.
And be thankful for the Little things in life that mean a lot.

What can you do in 5 minutes?
With the hustle and bustle of today's
world you may not think you can
do too much. But, for just 5 minutes
everyday you can, put a smile
on someone's face, say a kind word
or two, give a little encouragement,
give a little praise or just make
someone feel special. This is
the main concept of
Random Acts of Kindness.
It is so easy to do, and
it makes you feel
sooo good !

This is a picture of my Mother on my brother's
motorcycle. She would have never tried
driving the thing, but she was brave enough to
ride behind him, holding on for dear life, while
he drove...when she was in her early 70's!
Bless her heart, she was a sweet lady. She
went Home to live with the Lord in September
of 2003, and there's never a day goes by that
I don't think of her. I love you Mama!!

Welcome to my profile page. Thanks for stopping by.
If you see someone without a smile today, why not give them
one of yours? It will make both of you happier.
Have a super day!

I have been married to a career Navy man (now retired) for the past 41 years, and we have 2 grown, married daughters, and one
beautiful little grandson, born August 5, 2008. During our Navy days we lived all over...North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Florida, Connecticut,
Tennessee and South Carolina, in the U.S., and Wales in the U.K. We have lived here, longer than we have lived anywhere else since we got married, and will
probably remain here until God takes us home.
I am the kind of person who likes to try my hand at almost any craft I see, and I tend to enjoy most of them. I will admit that I
used to do a lot more crafting when our children were growing up, than I do now. These days, I lean more toward crocheting, making greeting cards, crossword
puzzles and playing on the computer, in my spare time. However, I reserve the right to buy more crafting materials at any given time!
I collect penguins, ducks, teapots and angels.
And, although I don't have a collection of them, I love lighthouses, too

I'm still tweeking parts of it, which is kind of fun to do, but frustrating at the same time. I'll do some changes, look at them and decide....no....go back and do it again. Oh well, perhaps I'm being too fussy.
Have a great day. Sassy
